On with the review…

Wicked Burn

He wanted all of her…

Vic Savian knows what he wants when he sees it. And what he wants is his sexy neighbor, Niall Chandler. So when he sees her in the hallway of their building being harassed by an aggressive suitor, Vic makes his move—and finds himself greatly rewarded…

And did she ever let him have it…

Sleeping with her gorgeous neighbor—when she didn’t even know his last name—was the craziest thing Niall’s ever done. Now, she can’t seem to get enough of Vic—or the uninhibited passion he stirs in her. Suddenly, with his help, she’s opening to sensual pleasures she’s never known before. But when Niall’s past comes back to haunt her, will she and Vic let themselves venture beyond the bedroom and explore the possibility of love that’s in their hearts?

I have been waiting on this novel for a long time.  Winning an autographed ARC just made my whole year.  And then, real life intrudes and I only JUST finish what has to be one of the best books I’ve read all year (but then, I also read Subtle Magic this year too, so it could very well be a toss-up).

Niall Chandler is emotionally damaged.  She’s been forcing herself through the motions for the last three and a half years until… Until the über-sexy Vic Savian comes to her rescue one night outside her apartment.  Neighbors that had no idea about the other, they come together that night and spontaneously combust.  Vic is sexy, driven, and elusive.  Niall is beautiful, intelligent, and every man’s dream.  Can such an explosive relationship move beyond the physical and become something more?

As emotionally intense as it is sexually explosive, Wicked Burn is full of real feelings and true heartaches.  Finding the strength to overcome what has gone before is a challenge each and every one of us faces every day.  For those of us lucky enough to have a helping hand and a shoulder to lean on, it’s easier more often than not.  But when you don’t have the special person to help you along, you can easily let it get the better of you.  I think that that’s one of the biggest reasons why Wicked Burn is so powerful – while very few of us have gone through what Niall has, we have all suffered loss and the things that come with it.  Finding Vic could very well be Niall’s saving grace.  And Vic’s too.

A very passionate and real novel about two people stumbling into each other and finding what they never realized they needed.

Oh...well...oh. That review made me tear up a bit here, Amy. Very lovely. Thanks for realizing the emotional depth of WICKED BURN beyond the hot sex. Strange to think it, but the emotions, for me, was what charged the entire hot, lusty affair.

I so totally agree, Beth! That's why the physical half of the relationship is so powerful when you're in love - because the emotions are so strong.

And thanks Belinda! It was a great book!
