Can a ghost be haunted, even beyond death? Just two days shy of his nineteenth birthday, Shane O'Keeffe murdered his older brother Michael, then turned the gun on himself. Why remained a mystery ... until now. A tale told by a ghost, to a ghost, and shared with the rest. Shane opens the door and finally lets some deep, dark family secrets see the light of day.
So, I’ll be honest with you. I’m not sure where to even start with this one. Shane’s life wasn’t easy. It wasn’t even happy. It just was. He swore he was cursed from the moment of his birth, destined to be forever hated and looked down upon by everyone. But it makes you wonder if he could have changed his own fate, since he absolutely orchestrated it, with a little help from his friends…
Passionate, emotionally heart-wrenching, and 110% honest is the only way I can truly describe this horrifying story of an abused boy who never got the chance to make it to manhood. It is a story that needs to not only be told, but read and shared. It’s a life lesson in many ways. You never know why that woman was such a cow at the bank, nor do you know just why that quiet, shy kid really is the way he is. It reminds us to look deep into ourselves and remember that not one of us is free of flaws and, because of that, we shouldn’t judge others so harshly… without first knowing their story.
Despite being a difficult read due to the emotional edge, it is definitely more than worth the time and money spent.
